The Space Technology and Applications Mastery, Innovation and Advancement (STAMINA4Space) Program is a space research & development program funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and implemented by the DOST-Advanced Science and Technology Institute (DOST-ASTI) and the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD). It aims to further develop deep expertise that enable and sustain the growth of a local scientific-industrial base in space technology and applications in the Philippines.
Diwata-1
Diwata-1 is the Philippines’ first microsatellite for scientific earth observation built by Filipino engineers and scientists from the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) in collaboration with Japanese universities, Tohoku University and Hokkaido University, and with support from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Diwata-2
Diwata-2 is the Philippines’ second microsatellite designed and developed by Filipino scientists and engineers under the PHL-Microsat Program.
Maya-1
The country’s first cube satellite (CubeSat) , Maya-1, is one of the three CubeSats under the 2nd Joint Global Multi-Nation Birds Project or BIRDS-2 Project of the Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech) in Japan.
